Family photography sessions are done at the location of your choice in Christchurch and surrounding areas.
We have so many beautiful parks, forests and beaches to choose from but if you have a special place that is meaningful to your family then lets go there.....or I am happy to suggest a location that would be perfect for you.
I take a mix of posed and candid shots so there is a nice range for everyone to choose from. There will be the posed, looking at the camera shots! Because Grandma will definitely want that. But what I really love is capturing your family in a relaxed and happy environment just being yourselves. My favourite photos are those where you are not looking at me and my camera but instead looking at and interacting with your family.

Photographing children is my greatest love. Beautiful, unique inquisitive little souls that bring me so much enjoyment!
Every one of them brings something different to their photo session - quiet and shy, boisterous and confident, solemn and serious... it is my job as a photographer to build up their trust and be their friend. True there are some tough customers but its a challenge I will never tire of!
I always try to time the sessions so we are within one hour of sunset - often referred to as the 'golden hour' because the light is just that, golden! It really is a lovely time of the day to venture outdoors if you can make it work. I get that this wont often work with young children but if you can wrangle a late afternoon sleep or the promise of a fun adventure it will be a win win for everyone!
